Paint Details & Quality

The paint we use is specifically designed and made for spray painting.  All the information regarding the quality & durability of the paints & products we use, and the statistics of the paint can be found on our supplier Morrells' website under Fastmatch Pre Catalyst Colours.

Formulated to provide outstanding resistance to abrasion, wet and dry heat, spirit solutions and a wide range of household chemicals.

Meets the requirements of FIRA standard 6250: 2005 for horizontal surfaces and rated as severe use. Meets FIRA 5000 Bathroom, Water & Vapour Specification, and the Secretary of State guidance note for wood coating processes PG6/33(11) appendix 2.

Colour Matching

There are over 100,000 colours to choose from, and Morrells have similarities/colour-matches to colours by Farrow & Ball, Dulux, Little Greene and many more manufacturers.  To give you somewhere to start, you can browse the many options of colours that Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Heritage can offer by clicking the links below.

We are also able to colour match to any item you may have.  In the past we have colour matched to a teacup, a cardigan, a cushion, coffee cannister, wall tiles and existing kitchen doors to name a few.  Or if you have a RAL or BS colour code, we can match to that too! 

The choice of colour makes no difference to the price and we only need to know your colour choice a few days before your start date, giving you plenty of time to decide & make the right decision.

Whilst most of our customer opt for a soft satin finish with 10% or 20% sheen, we can also spray paint any colour in various finishes including full gloss.  However we are only able to achieve a high gloss finish on flat/slab doors (excluding raw mdf).

As mentioned above, the paint we use is specifically developed & produced for professional use on all types of furniture, in order to get the perfect finish.  We are able to colour match our paint to your required colour.  We do not purchase the paint from household paint manufacturers.

We have done a lot of colour matching and an example is shown in the photo below.  Our clients found the exact shade of grey they loved on a wall tile. So we borrowed a tile, sent it off to be colour matched and the paint made specially. Can you tell which is the tile and which is the spray painted door?
